Man shot and killed outside Houston strip club
Police say they are looking for a shooter on Houston's north side

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A man is dead after a violent shooting outside a northwest Houston strip club.

Houston Police are investigating at the Fantasy Plaza Cabaret strip club on the North Freeway at the Shepherd exit.

Investigators say the shooter was in a blue truck that was captured on surveillance video.

The shooter killed a Hispanic man in his late 20s or early 30s who was in a silver car, or standing next to it.

Before the victim died, he managed to drive around the corner from the club, but he didn't make it too far.

The shooting actually happened a few blocks away, behind the strip club.

The shooter drove away, but police say one man may be the key to tracking down the killer.

The victim had a friend with him who saw the whole thing.

"Right now, we only have one witness who was the complainant's friend," HPD Detective Sean Overstreet said. "He was there when it happened and he called police as soon as the victim passed over here."

We do not have a plate number for the blue truck, but detectives are hoping to talk to the owner of the strip club to get that surveillance video.
