Man shot, killed while changing tire at north Houston gas station

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Houston police homicide detectives are searching for the suspect or suspects involved in a drive by shooting that happened overnight.

Authorities say the body of a man was found on the ground in between two parked trucks at the Exxon gas station off 45 North Freeway and North Main Road. One of those trucks has at least one bullet hole.

Police say the victim got a flat tire, pulled over at this gas station and called for roadside assistance. As the roadside assistance guy was changing the man's tire, a white Corolla pulled up and fired multiple shots.

Police believe the victim probably had an altercation with the suspects at another location and was followed to the gas station.

Police are still investigating.
