Man murdered in front of family in northeast Houston

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A man was shot and killed inside a northeast Houston home last night. Six of his family members, including two children, were just a few feet away when it happened.

Police were called out to the home on Hoffman near Calvalcade around 7:30pm.

Authorities say someone either let the two suspects inside or opened the door and they started shooting.

Police say four adults, two children -- a 12-year-old and an infant -- were in the room when the shooting happened.

The victim was taken to the hospital where he later died.

No one else was injured.

Houston Police are asking for any witnesses to come forward as the search for two men continues.
