HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Authorities are investigating a fatal shooting at an apartment complex in southeast Houston.

It happened just after 2pm in the 5000 block of Selinsky at the Crestmont Village apartments.

Police were called to the scene and when they arrived they found a man in his 20s shot to death in the driver's side of a pickup truck.

So far investigators haven't gotten much information from those in the area. According to police, the man didn't live at the apartment complex.

"It was an anonymous call to HPD. We're trying to work that backwards and see if we can ID who the reporter was," said Officer Thomas Ferguson with the Homicide Division. "(There were) no eyewitnesses but in this neighborhood nobody really wants to talk once police arrive. It's true."

Detectives haven't released the victim's name yet. If you have any information, you're being asked to call HPD.
