Man dies from gunshot in SW Houston

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A young man died from a gunshot wound overnight at an apartment complex in southwest Houston.

Police say the gunmen responsible for the shooting at Rampart and Gulfton are on the run.

Officers got the call just after 1am. They arrived at the Las Estancias apartments to find a 26-year-old Hispanic male face-down in the parking lot.

Investigators tell us he died at the scene from a gunshot wound.

Witnesses reported possibly seeing two black men running from the scene after the shooting happened.
