Man charged with burglary of Houston Walgreens

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Around 2am last night, police say a suspect set off an alarm at a Walgreens at Airline and Parker.

HPD arrived on scene and spotted an adult male fleeing the store, carrying a large garbage bag full of cigarettes. The suspect had climbed on top of a Red Box DVD rental machine and smashed a window to get into the store.

The K9 unit searched the grounds and no other suspects were found. The burglar was taken into custody and being charged with burglary of a building.
