Man accused of groping 13-year-old girl on flight from Dallas

PORTLAND, OR (KTRK) -- An Oregon man has been charged after he allegedly groped a 13-year-old girl who was flying without her parents on an American Airlines flight.

Chad Cameron Camp, 26, was arrested after the flight from Dallas to Portland on Wednesday night, according to a criminal complaint filed in the U.S. District Court.

The complaint also states that a flight attendant told Camp that other seats were available, but he sat in a middle seat next to the girl.

The flight attendant says Camp made small talk with the girl. That was before he allegedly leaned against her, nudged her, touched her with his elbow and then placed his hands on her knee and upper thigh three times.

At one point, a flight attendant told investigators she saw Camp's hand near the girl's crotch during snack service.

The young girl was crying, according to the flight attendant. That is when she moved the girl to another seat.

Camp was arrested by police and FBI agents when the flight landed in Oregon.

He is being held without bail.
