COLLEYVILLE, TX -- A man arrested in Florida has been charged in the Texas death of a 72-year-old housekeeper who had a $1 million insurance policy issued without her knowledge.

Colleyville police say 26-year-old Bernard Gorman faces a murder warrant in the scam to collect the benefits.

Polk County, Florida, jail records show Gorman was being held without bond Thursday. No attorney was listed for Gorman, who was arrested Wednesday in Davenport, Florida.

Colleyville police Chief Michael Holder says Anita Fox was found slain Sept. 23 at a residence where she worked.

Holder says the suspect's father, 48-year-old Gerard Gorman, died Jan. 22 near Houston of natural causes. Authorities believe the father, who allegedly paid $700 a month on the policy, fatally stabbed Fox.

Police are investigating how the Gormans knew the victim.
