Man accused of sex with 13-year-old
The girl reportedly lied about her age when they first met through an online dating website

SPRING, TX (KTRK) -- Sandpiper Park is tucked into a Spring neighborhood, on the banks of a creek. It's secluded, and it's said to be where a 24-year-old man had a sexual relationship with a 13-year-old he met online.

Arthur Cornelius Londy is now charged with aggravated sexual assault of a child under 14. His bond set at $75,000.

According to court documents, the girl said she "initially lied about her age when she created a profile on the online site, but told the defendant she was only 13 when they first met in person. She stated he continued to meet with her for sex even after learning her real age."

Londy is accused of having four sexual encounters with the girl, all at the park, one of them allegedly occurring inside the park's restroom. The span of the relationship was two months -- from May 28 to June 20 last year.

June 20 is when the girl is said to have told her parents she was involved in a sexual relationship with a man she met online. She was interviewed the next month at the Children's Assessment Center.

The following month, the girl is said to have identified Londy in a photo spread.

Two months later, in October, Londy was interviewed by sheriff's detectives who stated he denied knowing the girl, but after being confronted with evidence indicating otherwise, he allegedly confessed to the relationship.

His first court appearance is scheduled for Wednesday. Londy remains in jail.
