Little Caesars targeted by thieves
Police say they have several in custody after a smash and grab robbery in north Houston

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A stolen safe's tracking device led authorities to accused burglars in north Harris County.

According to Harris County deputies, four to five people used a stolen white van to smash into a Little Caesars Pizza store in the 1700 block of West Mount Houston Road. Investigators explained they went straight for the safe, loaded it up, and drove away.

Little did they know or care, deputies used the tracking device's signal to lead them to an address in the 1400 block of Cool Spring Drive. Houston police officers and Harris County deputies said they discovered the stolen safe inside the home. Authorities said they made four arrests in the case.

The pizza shop owners recovered the safe. Deputies found the stolen van, just around the corner, in the 8700 block of Rutherford Lane. Just around 6am, the van had been returned to its owner.
