Las Vegas officer shot while stopped at traffic light

LAS VEGAS, NV (KTRK) -- A Las Vegas police officer was shot on Sunday in an 'ambush-style' attack.

Authorities say both officers were sitting in their patrol car when a gunman walked up and ambushed them.

Investigators say the gunman fired multiple rounds into their cruiser while it sat at a traffic light. One of the bullets hit one of the officers in the hand. He's expected to be OK.

Police arrested the shooter. Authorities still don't have a motive in the shooting.
