Woman fights off attacker who exposed himself while attacking and groping her as she was jogging

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A Montgomery County woman says she fought off an attacker during an evening run in The Woodlands.

The 24-year-old victim was jogging in near Flintridge Drive and John Cooper Drive around 8:30pm Monday when she says a man grabbed her from behind and touched her inappropriately. "I just felt all of a sudden, an arm between my legs and someone squeezing me from behind," she told Eyewitness News.

She told the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office that when she screamed and turned around during the assault, she saw that the man's pants were down and he was exposing himself. "The scariest thing was he didn't have any expression whatsoever. It was just a blank stare," she said. She fought him off and he ran away on foot.

We are not identifying the victim because of the nature of the crime committed against her. She flagged down a passing motorist, who gave her a ride home, where she then called 911.

Several patrol units searched the area, but the suspect was not found.

She described the suspect as an Asian male in his 20s. He was wearing a black t-shirt and jeans at the time of the attack.
