Massive "jogger-chasing" alligator removed from Cinco Ranch-area

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A 12-foot-long alligator was caught this week in the Cinco Ranch-area.

On the Texas Gator Control Facebook page, a photo of the 700-pound alligator was posted on Wednesday along with word that the gator had turned into an area nuisance, chasing joggers after losing its fear of people.

Texas Gator Control says the alligator is believed to be about 80 years old and will spend the rest of his life "living it up in a gator farm."
