The victim says she had a brief conversation with the man, but when she tried to walk away, he pulled her down by her hair and then assaulted her.

We have a warning after a woman was pulled down by her hair and attacked by a man at a park in The Woodlands.

The attack happened on a jogging trail at Creekwood Park on S. Panther Creek around 8:30pm Tuesday. The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office says a man engaged the victim in conversation. When she wanted to end it, he pulled her down by her hair and assaulted her. She managed to fight back and get away to call for help.

Deputies are now warning people about the attack.

"Every time I come out here when there's no one around, I'll take my pepper spray. It's so sad," said Cathy Wolfe, a regular park-goer. "I always feel so safe here, but I know what's going on."

The attacker is described as a clean shaven, white male, approximately 6 foot tall. He was wearing a black and orange hat, black skinny jeans, and a jacket. He was last seen with a BMX style bicycle. The victim told deputies he stated his name was Michael and was a freshman at Lone Star Community College.
