Teen killed by train
A teenager was killed by a train this morning in northwest Houston. Christine Dobbyn reports.

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A 16-year-old Waltrip High School student was struck and killed by a train in northwest Houston this morning.

The accident happened in the 3700 block of West 34th Street around 8:45am. Police say the student was with a group of other kids walking near the tracks on the way to school.

Police say the teens were fooling around near the tracks when one of them was apparently thrown from the tracks, as they go over White Oak Bayou.

At this point, we don't know the identity of the teen who was killed.
