Preparations are in full swing for the giant July 4th party (KTRK)

Get ready, Houston. The city's annual "Freedom Over Texas" festival set to launch off Saturday at 4 P.M. at Downtown's Eleanor Tinsley Park. Eyewitness News received a sneak peek Friday, including one-on-ones with jugglers, hula hoop-ers, and even the team behind the fireworks finale.

The show, promising to illuminate the skyline, is scheduled for 9:35 PM. Rocco Vitale with Pryotecnico told us their team has been on the ground for the past 5 days, working on the spectacle.

"The site is beautiful. The venue is beautiful. The width of the site makes for a remarkable display," said Vitale. "It's precise chorography. Everything has a specific place in the show."

Tickets remain on sale. Visit the show's website for more information.

If you're not heading to the event, ABC13 plans to carry it live on air Saturday night and will stream a digital backstage pass.
