HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A man police say ambushed and fatally shot his wife in southeast Houston earlier this month has been arrested in Mexico.
Aaron Leach-Veliz, 42, was arrested in Neuvo Laredo on Tuesday without incident. He's charged with the murder of his wife, Armandina Leach, 44. According to police, the two were in the process of getting a divorce.
When Armandina Leach returned to her home in the 8100 block of Findlay on July 1 at around 11:40am, police say Aaron Leach-Veliz jumped out of the bushes and shot her.
Investigators learned the suspect fled to Mexico.
He will be brought back to Harris County to face a murder charge. null
