HFD worked for hours to free man trapped in machinery at southeast Houston warehouse

The Houston Fire Department worked for hours to free a man whose hand got stuck in a machine at Discount Rags machine shop in southeast Houston.

HFD units arrived on the scene in the 8300 block of Telephone Road at about 10:40am to find the worker with his hand stuck in the machinery. The man has been stabilized by medics and given medication while rescuers worked to free him.

The man was in a place that was very difficult to reach, with his hand trapped in a challenging spot.

The patient was finally extricated and transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital at 1:14pm.
