Heights man attacked and beaten in robbery

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- An aggravated robbery in the Heights leaves a man beaten and a neighborhood on edge.

It happened outside Solar Supply on Waverly early Friday morning.

An employee arrived early and was robbed, according to Houston police.

Family members of the victim told Eyewitness News, that two men covered in tattoos ambushed the employee and hit him in the head leaving slashes. They said that the employee is now in stable condition.

One of the robbers was armed and the pair took the victim's truck, which was found abandoned a short distance away, according to family members of the victim.
