HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A suspected burglar is dead, fatally shot Friday night by a homeowner in north Harris County, according to the Harris County Sheriff's Office.
It happened a little before 7pm in the 9000 block of Airline Drive. According to the sheriff's office, a homeowner heard someone breaking in and shot the suspect twice.
The homeowner was treated at the scene for a medical issue. His hands were bagged as he was questioned about the shooting.
One man said he lives in this area and is fed up with the crime.
Neighbor Roberto Santillan said, "Every, every, every weeks we having a big, big problems. This street. Alcohol, drugs, prostitute. And the police is no help for people."
The identities of the homeowner and the victim have not been released.
