HCSO: Game room robbery turns into fatal shooting
Authorities say an armed suspect was fatally shot during an attempted game room robbery in northeast Harris County

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Authorities say an armed suspect was fatally shot during an attempted game room robbery in northeast Harris County.

The shooting happened around 4pm during in the 13000 block of Crosby Lynchburg near Barrett Station, according to the Harris County Sheriff's Office.

A source tells Eyewitness News a security guard opened fire after he was pistol whipped by the suspect. A manager at the game room also opened fire. The suspect collapsed just outside the business and died.

Detectives recovered three weapons from the scene. The source says about eight shell casings are scattered inside, though it wasn't clear whether the armed suspect also pulled the trigger.

As many as seven customers were inside the game room, but no one else was injured.

Investigators are still questioning the manager and security guard.
