Harris County deputy involved in accident in Katy

KATY, TX -- A Harris County deputy has been involved in an accident in Katy.
The accident happened just around 4:30am on the Katy Freeway westbound near Grand Parkway.
The Harris County Sheriff's Office says the deputy is in good condition after he was trapped in his patrol car for a few minutes.
The deputy reportedly complained of leg pain after the accident.
He is alert and conscious.
Life Flight has been dispatched to the scene.
There is no word yet on what caused the accident.
