Girl, 12, hasn't been seen since disappearing from church

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Sandra Betancourt, 12, was seen leaving the Church of Latter Day Saints on Shadowdale and Clay Road.

Her mother says she didn't want to go to a family outing so she stayed home and went to church with her grandmother. She disappeared after going to the restroom. Houston Police have classified her case as a missing juvenile.

The family says they had an incident with her last fall when she left home a while. The girl has struggled in school and her mom says she's never been diagnosed with learning disabilities but she has had difficulties at times.

Sandra stands around 5 feet, 6 inches tall and weighs around 195 pounds. She has brown eyes and medium brown hair with a fair complexion.
