Funeral to be held for woman killed in attack in SW Houston

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Friends and family are paying their final respects to a 79-year-old woman killed in a violent attack in her own back yard in southwest Houston.

Su-Jung Teng was attacked by a stranger while she was gardening on Wednesday afternoon.

Authorities say the suspect choked Teng and beat her with a golf club before he repeatedly stabbed her with scissors.

Police are still looking for the suspect.

Funeral services for Teng are scheduled for this morning at Christ the Incarnate Word Church on South Kirkwood.
