Former Subway pitchman Jared beaten in prison

DENVER, CO (KTRK) -- Former Subway pitchman Jared Fogle is recovering in a prison in Colorado after getting beaten up in a rec yard brawl.

According to a report by TMZ, a man convicted of armed robbery jumped Fogle in the yard, leaving Fogle with a bloody nose, swollen face and scratches on his neck.

Fogle is serving 16 years in prison after admitting to paying teenage girls for sex.

According to the report, the prisoner who attacked him was fed up with child sex predators being housed at that minimum security prison.
