Firefighters contain grass fire moments before it spreads to backyards in NW Harris County

HOUSTON -- Firefighters arrived at the scene of a grass fire in northwest Harris County moments before the blaze spread into a family's backyard.

Aerials from SkyEye HD showed a large patch of grass burning behind the fences of several homes on Montridge near the Beltway 8. Neighbors grabbed a water hose and trying to wet their fences to stop the fire from spreading.

The blaze inched toward the homes, and even caught a fence and tree on fire. But firefighters arrived on scene just in time to keep the flames from spreading into one family's backyard.
