Father rescues son from house fire
The father had burns to his arm and his son was taken to Memorial Hermann.

WILLIS, Texas (KTRK) -- A boy from Willis was flown to Memorial Hermann after suffering injuries in a mobile home fire.

Willis Police say the fire happened around 1 am on Saturday.

There was a family of five inside of the home when it caught fire, three children and their parents.

The parents and two of the children made it outside, that's when the father realized his son was still inside.

He went back in to rescue his son. The fire chief said the boy was taken by Life Flight to Memorial Hermann.

Willis PD said the father suffered burns to his arm. He was taken to the hospital. The other three were not hurt.

No word on the cause of the fire.

Willis Police said the home is a total loss.
