CROSBY, TX (KTRK) -- A fast-moving fire destroyed a family's home in east Harris County early this morning, but no one was hurt in the blaze.
Crosby Lynchburg Road was closed between Highway 90 and Barbers Hill Road as emergency workers responded to the scene. Firefighters from the Crosby, Sheldon and Highlands fire departments arrived around 4:30am.
We've learned a man, his wife and a cousin were in the home at the time of the blaze. The fire happened early this morning when a man was watching TV and the set switched off. He went to the breaker box, reset the breaker and shortly after that, began smelling smoke.
All three people inside the home and the dog named Sugar were able to get out of the house as fire quickly spread.
