Daughter remembers father killed in cab robbery
A local woman is speaking out after her father was killed in a seemingly random taxicab robbery.

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A suspect has been charged in the murder of a 58-year-old cab driver in Southwest Houston.

Police say 19-year-old Dajour Wilkerson and another man who goes by the name "Reaper" killed Alireza Kheyrandish.

"I always worried that he was doing cab driving because it was dangerous," said his daughter, Miriam Kheyrandish.

Alireza was working on the morning of July 2, picking up passengers from the airport.

Police say the men approached him after he had dropped off another passenger.

They allegedly stole his wallet, shoes, and taxi and stabbed him more than 24 times.

"Everything now makes me think of him," Miriam said. "Everything now, I think, 'I wish I could do this with my father, I wish I could see this with my dad.' It makes you think of everything you wish you could've done."

If you'd like to help, she has set up a GoFundMe campaign.
