Family hopes for justice after deadly hit-and-run accident in Pasadena

PASADENA, TX (KTRK) -- A family is distraught after a deadly hit-and-run crash in Pasadena that took the life of a bicyclist Saturday night. They came out to the site of the crash on Spencer Highway on Monday hoping to convince the driver to do the right thing. Then they found out about a break in the case.

The afternoon began as somber appeal to find those responsible for a deadly hit-and-run accident.

Dr. Danny Richards of Refreshing Springs Church said, "Maybe you have knowledge or information about the accident. Maybe even sitting and listening to somebody talk, maybe they gave some information about hitting somebody."

But the situation quickly turned into a scene of hope.

Pasadena police spokesperson Vance Mitchell said, "Just before you started talking, I got very good news."

Police say they got a tip that led them to a suspect vehicle.

"We're at a point now where we have two suspects who have been identified and hopefully they're going to come in and visit with our detectives," Mitchell explained.

Finding peace won't come easy for this family, mourning the loss of their son, father, husband.
