NEW CANEY, TX (KTRK) -- A man wanted for alleged car theft and other violent crimes in and around Houston was arrested during a routine traffic stop Monday.
Montgomery County Auto Theft Detectives had asked for the public's help in finding Blake Jackson.
Monday afternoon, a car Jackson was riding in was pulled over by deputies in New Caney for an expired registration sticker.
Jackson had attempted to disguise his appearance by dyeing his hair but was recognized. He was taken into custody and charged with third degree felony theft.
Jackson is currently being held at Montgomery County Jail without bond.
