Driver, girl inside home injured after car crash

HARRIS COUNTY (KTRK) -- A north Harris County family spent their Christmas Eve in the hospital after a car crashed right into their home.

Investigators say the driver, a woman in her 40's, lost control and crashed into the home. A little girl was injured during the accident.

Lt. Greg Lowry, with the Harris County Constable's Office, says although there was damage to the home, the family should be able to eventually come back home.

"Substantial damage to the complex," Lowry said. "The structure is fine, there shouldn't be a problem with the electricity."

The driver was taken to the hospital. The little girl was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
