Driver accused of slamming into ambulance near Galleria due in court

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- The man accused of slamming into an ambulance in the Galleria area, causing it to flip over, injuring 2 medics, is expected to be in court later today.

Javier Castro is accused of DWI after police said he crashed into an ambulance as it was pulling away from another accident on the West Loop near San Felipe back in August.

Two medics were in the ambulance when it flipped over. Both suffered minor injuries.
