SUGAR LAND, TX (KTRK) -- Sugar Land Police are investigating the alleged sexual assault of a disabled woman Wednesday night outside Fort Bend Imaging. Investigators say the woman, who uses a wheelchair, was being dropped off by a private transport company Wednesday night behind the facility, located at 14835 Southwest Freeway, where she was to undergo a sleep study.

The victim alleges the attack took place by the driver of that vehicle in the parking lot behind the facility. She did not immediately report the incident and, according to police spokesperson Doug Adolph, she proceeded to go inside then and undergo a scheduled sleep test. It wasn't until Thursday morning that she woke up and told sleep center staff, who then contacted police.

Police will not make public the name of the transport company.

The woman was taken to a hospital in the Texas Medical Center and was examined.

Police have not made an arrest, though their investigation is underway.
