Despite major wreck, Katy ISD teacher follows through with wedding

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- We have new information on the story of a violent car crash involving a bride-to-be just two weeks before her wedding. Well, the wedding that was off because of her injury turned out to be on after all!

Leslie and Ronnie Hessel shared pictures with us after the small ceremony at their house in Fulshear Friday. February 13 was always their wedding date but two weeks ago, Leslie, a popular Katy ISD chemistry teacher, was in a serious car crash on FM 2920.

The couple had called off the wedding to give Leslie more time to recover but clearly decided to just do it. She's now doing outpatient rehabilitation.
