You may want to take a closer look at your credit card statement if you've stayed at a hotel recently.

Hotel chain IHG confirmed they've had a security breach that could have put your credit card information at risk.

They own Holiday Inn, Crowne Plaza, Staybridge Suites, Candlewood Suites, and Hotel Indigo brands.

They credit card information breached would affect purchases between August and December 2016.

Check to see if your credit card information is at risk on IHG's website

It involved restaurants and bars at their hotels, but did not affect guests who used front desk and online payment systems.
