Elderly couple struck by hit-and-run driver outside festival in Dickinson

DICKINSON, TX (KTRK) -- Police in Dickinson are looking for a hit-and-run driver who injured an elderly couple.

Officials say a 70-year-old woman and a 68-year-old man were using a crosswalk at the intersection of Highway 3 and FM 517 when they were hit around 10pm Saturday. The couple was leaving the Red, White and Bayou Festival at the time. Both victims were taken to the hospital but are expected to be OK.

Investigators say they were hit by an older model pickup truck. They believe the driver was a woman.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to call police.
