County judge fiddles to fourth place at World Championship Fiddlers' Festival

The 79th World Championship Fiddlers' Festival of Crockett, Texas, took place over the weekend of Oct. 24, and Liberty County Judge Jay Knight took fourth place in the senior division.

Michael Weise of Houston won the senior division. Tom Fonville was second, E. J. Hopkins was third, and Sherry Wortham finished in fifth place.

Jay Knight started playing the fiddle as a teenager and is a member of The Southern Breeze Band that he and Carl Landrum began in 1982.
