Condominium fire claims life of woman in southwest Houston

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A two-alarm condominium fire has claimed the life of a woman in southwest Houston.

The flames broke out just after 11:30am in the 2800 block of S. Bartell.

An adult female was transported to Memorial Herman Hospital where she was pronounced dead, according to HFD officials.

The building suffered significant fire damage. An investigation is underway to determine the cause of the fire.
