BURNET, TX -- Investigators say a 96-year-old Central Texas woman who lived alone and was in hospice care has died after fire swept through her house.

The Burnet County Sheriff's Office says Hazel Etter was found dead Friday in the remains of her home near Burnet.

Investigators do not suspect foul play in the death. An autopsy has been ordered.

Sheriff's authorities say the initial call for help came from an alarm company after Etter activated an emergency pendant. Crews arrived to find the house engulfed in flames.

The State Fire Marshal's Office will help investigate what caused the blaze.

Burnet is 50 miles northwest of Austin.
