Car crashes into Pearland donut shop

PEARLAND, TX (KTRK) -- No one was injured after a car slammed into a Pearland donut shop.

The Best Donuts shop off Broadway was hit shortly before 9am Friday morning by the car.

Brazoria County deputies say the driver hit the brakes but her car didn't stop. Her car was towed to get the brakes fixed.

Meanwhile, the workers at the donut shop do you have a big mess to clean up. Glass and debris litter the front of the donut shop.

Fortunately, no other customers were inside the shop when the car hit the front entrance. The two workers were in the back in the kitchen area.

Donuts already baked and ready for customers will not be sold. The workers of the donut shop say they don't want to risk the chance of glass being in any food items. Once they get things cleaned up they will reopen the shop.

No charges are expected to be filed in the accident.
