HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Houston police are looking for thieves who broke into a Victoria's Secret store in Rice Village early this morning.

The "Pink" store located on the 2400 block of University Boulevard and was the latest business to be hit by smash and grab thieves in Houston.

The incident happened around 3:45am. A witness, who asked not to be identified, tells Eyewitness News that she heard what sounded like a terrible car crash. The witness says she looked out her window and saw a 90s model silver van inside the neighboring store. She said she heard more than two men talking inside the store.

"It sounded like they knew what they were after, like they knew what they wanted. It was like a movie, like the film 'Set It Off.' It happened pretty fast," the witness said.

Another witness described the items stolen as "Hot Topic" brand merchandise and other lingerie with Houston Texans logos.

"There were smash and grabs back in the 90s. There were a lot of gangs back then. We were hit three times back then. And have not since," said Alan Petrie, the owner of J. Hampton clothing store, located just across the street from Victoria's Secret. He added, "We will be putting in new cameras at our store to boost our security."

Police do not have a suspect description. However, police tell us they have recovered the van they believe was used in this burglary. The van was reported stolen to West University Police earlier today.
