HOUSTON -- Eyewitness News was at a Houston restaurant today to see a reunion three years in the making.

Jackie McKnight, a waitress at the renowned Houston restaurant The Breakfast Klub, is finally getting the chance to say "thank you" to the first reponders who saved her life when she had a heart attack three years ago.

McKnight doesn't even remember that day -- she just remembers waking up in the hospital five days later, but she is just so grateful. So, ever since then, she has been hugging every firefighter she sees.

McKnight told Eyewitness News, "When they walk through here, it doesn't matter if they were part of the process of saving their life or not, I'm just grateful. I'm just grateful. I'm team firefighters. Team firefighters."

Julia Young, a 911 dispatcher, said, "A lot of times you don't even know what the outcome is. So it's good to actually meet somebody who you helped."

The firefighters gathered at The Breakfast Klub today presented her with an HFD T-shirt.
