Toddler dies of cancer
Stevie Matthews, 2, dies of cancer only one day after rally for him.

BAYTOWN, TX (KTRK) -- A toddler known for his love of monster trucks has died, his family confirmed.

Stevie Matthews, 2, was diagnosed with leukemia in October and recently doctors ran out of treatment options.

In his honor last Thursday, a monster truck parade was held at the Royal Purple Raceway.

"No child should ever have to go through this. No parent should ever have to go through this. And to watch people so close to my heart go through this, it kills me every day," his uncle Chris Paulk said. "If I could trade places with them in a minute, I would, no questions asked."

A toddler battling cancer got a big boost thanks to a Monster truck parade.

Volunteers sold stickers, t-shirts and flags with #FightlikeStevie and Lifted Trucks, Lifted Prayers printed on them.

"He's touched more people in two years than I will in three life times," Paulk added.

All of the proceeds from the event benefited the Matthews family.
