7-year-old boy rescued in Brooklyn igloo collapse

BROOKLYN, NY -- A 7-year-old boy was rescued after an igloo collapsed on top of him in Brooklyn.

It happened on 42nd Street between 15th and 16th Avenue in Borough Park around 8 p.m. Wednesday.

A friend saw his fingers sticking out from the snow and ran to get help.

Boro Park Hatzolah Ambulance Corps. found the child buried under 10 feet of snow and ice.

He was buried under the snow for about 10 minutes. They got him out and then the fire department came and broke down what was left of the igloo.

The boy was taken to Lutheran Medical Center in stable condition.
