SEABROOK, TX (KTRK) -- A body has been recovered in the area where a man disappeared after jumping in the water for a swim over the weekend.
Phillip Davis, 29, reportedly jumped in the water from the sailboat Sea Dreams about three miles off the shore of Kemah Saturday afternoon. Others on board the boat called the Coast Guard to report him missing after the boat drifted and they lost sight of Davis.
The Coast Guard and the Kemah Fire Department searched over the weekend. At about 7am today, the Seabrook Police Department discovered a body that washed up matching the description of Davis. Official confirmation has not yet been made. Davis' family members were called to identify the body.
