The body of a missing driver was recovered this morning in Fort Bend County

The body of a driver was recovered this morning in Fort Bend County after the driver went missing today.

The man's body was located at SH-99 at West Airport.

The passenger was located earlier this morning.

The Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office says the accident happened after two men were leaving a bar and drove northbound on SH-99. Their car went into Oyster Creek. When the car went into the water, the passenger was asleep, but woke up when the airbag deployed.

He managed to swim out the car's moon roof and to the edge of the freeway for help.

The driver got out of the car, but couldn't swim and drowned.

The car was found in 10 feet of water underneath a bridge.

Authorities are investigating the crash. They say the crash happened at an unknown time in the middle of the night.
