Texas EquuSearch found a body in their search for missing Kingwood man

KINGWOOD, TX (KTRK) -- The search for the 83-year-old has ended. Volunteers found a man's body at the end of Forest Village Drive in Kingwood. Family members have been told it is likely Welchko, but a positive ID will be made to confirm it.

James Welchko was last seen October 22, 2016 at the 3200 Block of Village Fall Court in Kingwood.

Welchko suffers from dementia and disappeared from his home. His wife had last seen him wearing khaki pants, a white shirt and loafers and he had been seen walking down the street.

Physically he was very able and often seen walking the street or the trails in the area.

Volunteers from the community and Texas Equusearch started looking at noon today. They searched on foot and on ATV's in the area of his home. It's tough for the family, but also the many volunteers who had hoped for a different outcome.
