Authorities: Car dealership burglary may be inside job
It was a brazen theft that happened right under the noses of employees, so detectives are trying to determine if it was an inside job

HUMBLE, TX (KTRK) -- Surveillance video helped employees at a car dealership in Humble discover one of their vehicles had been stolen right under their eyes.

It's Tuesday afternoon on March 24 and a group of three black males in their early 20's can be seen canvassing the front lobby of Texan Dodge in Humble.

Harris County Precinct 3 authorities say the men are approached by several salespeople, but the suspects told them, "We're just looking." Video then shows one of them, the male in a red ball cap and white shirt, swipes the keys to a truck. He walks out without anyone noticing and the group leaves the dealership.

Another clip then shows the men returning to the dealership the next day. One of them exits their vehicle and jumps into the 2013 Dodge Ram pickup, and with the same keys stolen the day before, takes off.

The dealership didn't know the car was missing until the following day.

Now authorities are trying to identify the suspects and determine whether the case may be an inside job.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Harris County Precinct 3 Office.
