ATM machine apparent target in NW Houston smash-and-grab attempt

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Thieves tried to smash their way into a Citgo station in northwest Houston last night with a pickup truck.

The smash and grab attempt apparently targeted the ATM machine inside the store in the 17700 block of Eastex Freeway, but it appears they got away with nothing. However, the damage to the store is extensive.
